I have a question regarding the video format supported by NOKIA (specifically the ASHA series). In the specifications NOKIA mentions that videos in .AVI and/or .3GP can be played in the device, however, I have downloaded a variaty of .AVI and .3GP video movies, and non play on my ASHA (and i have all ASHA models from the 200 up to the 501 with the latest software updates). I've also converted some .AVI movies in to a variaty of .3GP versions, also here, no luck, the only thing wich works is the audio. However, if I download movies from the the NOKIA (ovi) STORE (like video trailers or music videos), then those play just fine. The funny part is, and I do have to mention some other brands now, that when I put my downloaded .AVI and/or .3GP movies on to my old SONY ERICSSON M600i, P800, iPHONE 5 and SAMSUNG GALAXY SIII then those play just fine. So, the question here is, how come I can't get those videos to play on my NOKIA? If the ASHA series do support .AVI and/or 3GP, then how? Are there different types of .AVI and/or 3GP that NOKIA uses to which the donwloaded videos are not set too? And if so, is there a NOKIA program I can download that allow me to convert my .AVI and/or .3GP to a matching and working file that the NOKIA ASHA series support?

Well then, sorry for the long story the slinging around some (perhaps unwanted brands), but I am occupied with this for 5 months now, trying all kinds of video converters and nothing seems to do the (right) job. I am not so untechnical with this stuff, but perhaps I am seraching in the wrong places.

I did go to the NOKIA STORE here in SINGAPORE and placed my questions regarding this on there support desk, but it seemed that the guys working there do not know very much about the products the sell :-(
